The Life Of Ali Ibn Abi Talib

Some snapshots from the life of one of the great Muslims and one of the great Sahaba, and even a mythological of the line home. And

we begin, we predicate with a couple of statements. The first one is a statement of Abdullayev children of the lion who and it's a very beautiful statement, he says that whoever view is seeking to follow the path of anybody that follow the path of those who've passed away, mankind was stagnant, fairly standard women by demand, whoever view is going to follow the path of anyone follow the paths of those who have passed away, why in and hayleigh to annihilate him fits in because the one who is alive, you don't know if they're gonna pass their trials and tribulations and their tests. Many times you experience a person,

you've put your faith in them and you know, you're you're really impressed by them. And maybe even your faith depends on them. And then they fall some tests or what have you. And we've seen this many times over with many people all over the world. And so the the advice of our beloved minister, the great companion himself, he says, if you're going to follow the path of someone, follow the path of someone whose story has been concluded, someone whose final chapter has been written, someone who has passed away. Why? Because you don't know if the living are going to pass their tests, if they're going to succeed.

without a cause harm, Hamad? Who's he talking about? Well, he's a companion. So if he's talking about those who passed away, then he's talking about the companions themselves. And then he says, a number of qualities, he lists a number of qualities of the qualities of the Sahaba, but also the loss of the lightest, and why is it important for us to learn about the companions, he says Colonel will lie of the head illuma they were By Allah, the best of this oma

abajo Haku when they had the most righteous hearts, were our nakuha ailment. And they had the deepest knowledge. And this statement, the deepest knowledge, we're gonna come back to it, but it's very, very precise. I'm delighted that he didn't say that for Sahaba have the most knowledge. He didn't say, I am an admin he said, Makuhari admin they had the deepest knowledge. What that means is that any verse or any Heidi, that is a hobby learned, penetrated into their hearts and mixed with their flesh in a way that no generation after them ever experienced or even came close to. And so he says, A Makuhari men who are often they were the least superficial. They were the least superficial.

They were a people whom Allah Subhana Allah chose the kamati Dini,

but you're also in a way a comedy Dini they were people from Allah Subhana, Allah chose selected to be the companions of his messengers of the law to send them and to establish his religion. So then what are we required to do? He says, variety for the home full blown. He says, so know their virtues, know their status, and follow them in wherever you're able to have their religion and their character. Why? Then the home condo added who the most appealing they were upon clear guidance. And so this is one of the things that is our goal for tonight that we learn about the virtues of one of the great companions of Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam, one of the greatest companions, I didn't

even I thought, why do we do do this, the children aside the nebula cos, they said, Our father used to teach us the mahasi of Rasulullah sallallahu, as in the children of side than the grandchildren, they said, Our parents used to teach us, the seal of the Prophet, the early term for sila is mahasi, the seal of the prophets of Allah they set it up, and they used to say to us had shot afoco This is Your Honor, this is your pride. And this is the honor of your fathers, so don't lose it. don't squander it. And so a person, a person's history is their source of pride. A person's history is their source of of, of honor. And when you learn about this hobby Alon whom you become infused with

pride, because they are your forefathers, they are your and my forefathers.

I've never thought about the line home. Is it even a thought even after methodic, even Hashem the

cousin of Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam his father thought he was the one who famously raised the profits little lady send them after his grandfather, Abdulmutallab passed away. So from the age of eight onwards, the Prophet sallallahu wasallam was raised by authority later on about it himself, would become someone who had many children and he was not very wealthy. And so what also lost a lot to send the married idea and he became settled he took on it as

And so I little the law and who from a young age was raised in the house of Rasulullah sallallahu sallam, and at the age of 10, around the age of 10 Rasulullah sallallahu SLM becomes a prophet and a messenger, the incidence of Aquila happens and I deal with the law and who is of the earliest Muslim, some of the scholars said that he's the earliest Muslim before Khadija and before I work, nonetheless, he is definitely one of the first three, I will work hijo de la Anna, and I'd even never thought about the law anymore. didn't ever thought it was the first child to accept Islam. And interestingly enough,

if you think about it, why is it that you know, the first three Muslims aren't, for example, three adult males? Why is the first Muslim?

A woman or a man or a child? Right? It's a it's a very interesting diversity of, of the society. Nonetheless, I'd even ever thought about the line who at 10 years old, he accepts Islam, and a little delight who never ever prostrated to an idol. He never worshipped an idol in his life. He was 10 when he accepted Islam, but nonetheless, he was raised in the house of Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam. And Khadija and Rasulullah. sallallahu, obviously didn't worship idols. And so Ali grew up, not having been corrupted by this belief. He believes in Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and we're going to fast forward because we're not going to spend too much time going in, you know,

much detail because there's too much that can be said about it his life, but some snapshots and so I didn't know the law and we fast forward until the prophets the lightest and limb is migrating. So 13 years have now gone by, and the Prophet sallallahu Sallam is migrating to Medina and the prophets the light is in places when we get some glimpses of it his character having been raised in the house of the prophets, the light s&m Alley,

sleeps in the bed of the prophet SAW the light as a bed that was expected to be ambushed by the machine again to assassinate it also will last them all my days and

and so it sleeps in that bed, and the Prophet cellulitis and then tells it that they're not going to harm you don't worry, no harm is going to come to you. But realistically, if you're told that no harm is going to come to you, but you know that this is a bed, that's got the assassins motives on it, it would be a very difficult night to sleep. Nonetheless, I live in a butalbital de la and who sacrificed himself in that night and he spent the night in the bed of Rasulullah sallallahu sallam, and no harm came to him that we should again they had planned, they

knew that they couldn't attack the profits on the line to send them one clan. If one clan attack the profits on the lightest and number no Hashem would fight them to the end. And so what they eventually planned was they said that we are going to have a number of strong young men from different clans all strike Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam at the same time and so the blood will then be spread throughout a number of clans and Bernal Hashem will not be able to fight everybody and so they will have to succumb to accepting blood money and will be relieved that way. Nonetheless, the prophet SAW the lightest and I'm left with a blue book, the machine again did not catch Rasulullah

I've mentioned this before, but I had a, I had a British

literature professor.

And this British literature professor, when we would study the the great works of British literature, whether it was Wuthering Heights or Frankenstein, or one of these books, she would make us dissect the book to a level that was so frustrating. And if the if the, if the character had a father who was a butcher, she would then ask us, why do you think the author made this character's father a butcher, like out of all of the occupations, why a butcher and we would sit there and dissect these books to that level every single week or twice a week, and then one time I raised my hand

I asked the professor I said or I claimed or exclaimed to the professor and I said, maybe the author simply needed to give this character's father a profession. And so they randomly chose butcher Yeah, and why are we doing all of this analysis? Maybe they didn't even have any sort of intention. And then she said to me, she said, we have to give the great authors of literature more credit than that. She said, we have to give the great she was like, Okay, I understand that, you know, some you know, kid in high school, right, something that maybe they didn't put much, but when you're talking about the classics of literature, you know, these things that have stood the test of time and

criticism, then you have to give the author's more credit than that everything is by design and when she said that to me, I wasn't thinking about literature anymore. I was like man doesn't the foreign deserve more analysis? Doesn't the seat of the province of the licensing deserve more of that type of respect? Out of all of the names that the province of colitis and them could have had in Mecca? His name was a saw that and it I mean, and everything he could have been MKT. Right? He could have been any Jimmy, he could have been so many different things at the province level, it is lm yet, the two names that he had, were a solder to the truthful, and the trustworthy, the one who can be

You know, and and if you think about the person who's going to carry a message, then those are the two qualities that you need and if you are an oma, that is going to carry the message then you have to look at are we an oma that is considered to be trustworthy? And are we an oma that's considered to be truthful? Are we an oma that people can trust that people feel safe around that people would leave things with that people believe when they talk, the Prophet sallallahu Sallam Lee distributes even as his migrating to Medina and he's flowing, they're fleeing the persecution of the Mexicans, the province of the light is is

distributing that what she was entrusted with through it. I've never thought I'd even ever thought it would migrate to Medina when he migrates to Medina, he finds that the province level lighters, send them has done this Maha between the Mahajan and the unsought he is he has drawn up this brotherhood between them hygiene in the unsought and I've never thought of it as the prophet SAW the light as animal who is my brother, and the Prophet sallallahu send them says to him, You are my brother, or I am your brother. And so I even ever thought of his brother was also lost the law to send them. And Addy when you're talking about two years later,

earlier on the line who had migrated to Medina, and he's very young, and he's not very wealthy at all. In fact, he's not wealthy at all, not not very wealthy, he's not wealthy at all. And I get it a lot when he would need money, he would go and he would gather, or he would go and he would work for a woman from the unsought. And he would go and he would irrigate some some date palm trees for her and she would then pay him in dates. And then when he would have worked enough to gain two handfuls of dates, he would say to her, I'm good, that's enough for me. And then he would leave an idea on the line. So while he's in that state of poverty,

and be happy or unnecessary reports, that 40 mile of the law is starting to get proposals by a walk, and neuroma, and also loss of the lightest, and then tells them she's too young. And so it basically then reports that I need all the law and who had a servant, and his servant is saying to him, Do you know that Fatima is getting proposals?

And he said to her Yes. Or he said to her No.

And then she says to him, Go and ask for her hand. And I didn't realize this. I don't have anything to ask her with. But she kept on insisting and insisting and insisting until earlier on the line, who finally finds himself in front of it also lost the lighters and lamb. And it said, we used to be in such awe of the Prophet sallallahu sallam, he does not say a word. And the province of colitis, and limb is asking him

and he's not saying anything. And he's asking him and he's not saying anything three times he asked him and he didn't say anything. And then the profits of the lighters, enemies, that's him. Maybe you have come to ask for faulty

and so I little the law and who says yes. Right. It's super awkward. And then

he says to her, it's it. What do you have? What can you give her? And it says, I don't have anything. And the prophets the lowlights and obsessing What about the shield that I gave you? What you're not thinking when you're thinking about mahadi? You're not thinking of giving her a shield, right? And so the province of the license system, what about the shield that I gave you? And he says, Yes, I still have it. And so he says, Go and give her that. And then the province of the light is set him said to him and you must have a walima There must be something

So I don't know the law, he doesn't have anything for edema. So we're not fast forward to the Battle of the Battle of whether it happens. And this is now a little The line was first.

First Battle. This is the first time in his life where he's participating in a battle battle the Allied. And the Battle of bedeutet is a battle that was instigated by Abuja, there were lots of people in Mecca, who did not think the Battle of bedroom was a good idea. Initially, remember, it was a caravan supposed to be intercepted, of Abu Sophia, Abu sufian is able to maneuver out of the trap of the Muslims. And so he's on his way. And in fact, he sends a messenger to Mecca saying everything's good, we're fine. But Abu Jan is the one who's beating the drums of war. And he's saying, no, we're not going to come back and nobody's going back until we stay at budget for three

days and we drink wine. And our girls Sing for us so that the Arabs can then respect grace again, and people People don't want it. And I will walk up hula hub is just such a shame.

He's going and he's whispering and every and he's insulting this person. And he's maneuvering this person and manipulating this person. One of the people who did not want to participate in the Battle of he didn't want to fight was in the lobby. And ultimately, Libya is one of the leaders of polish. And Aruba is telling people until the last minute and he was someone who was writing, he was writing a red camel, he was writing a red camel, and he was telling them go back, let us go back and blame it on me. Say wrote back got scared. Even though you all know that I'm the least scared amongst you. But just blame it on me. And I will Jehan is continuing to instigate to the point where now it's

time for the battle. And now his ego kicks into overdrive. And so ends up being the person who's starting the duel, they would start the other battles with duels. And so ultimate becomes the person coming out for the he goes from the being the person who's telling them Don't fight, don't fight, don't fight to being interestingly enough, the person who's going out to challenge the Muslims to a duel, him and his brother shaybah and his son and will it so it's a family, they all come out.

And who comes out to meet them three men from the unsolved Earth maybe maybe I said, well, who are you? And they say we're from FM and they say 1000 killed on you are, you know, worthy opponents? But we want our equals from our people. We want my god we want people from Africa.

And so Rasulullah sallallahu to send them he says, Yeah, it Oh, yeah, Hamza. Oh, yeah, VEDA obey the mill Harris. And so I even thought it comes out for the duel, as well as Hamza

as well as obey them in Hadith.

And Hamza and Addie both make quick work of their opponents.

And shaybah strikes or beta in the LEC an injury that Aveda would eventually died from and so when he struck Aveda, then ID and Hamza both attacked shava. And they killed him and the Battle of whether it happened and everybody knows how bad that plays out Muslims when I'd even never thought it gets from his spoils of war as as mentioned before a Muslim he says I got an old Sheikh ammo as my spoil of war.

And so I was using it to finance my wedding. He would go and collect grass, and then he would put it on the sheet camo and then he would go and he would sell it. And so on one day

to show you the stress that comes with getting married. I don't even ever thought about the Alon who is selling his grass and he goes and he brings the camel, and he parks it at one of the houses of the unsought

and inside the house is his uncle Hamza. And Hamza are on the line who this is before alcohol had become forbidden. And so Hamza was drinking in the house. And there was a girl who was singing in the house it had left he had left the she camel, it's parked, it's fine, but it's about to get towed.

But the law is inside the house. I'm sorry Hamza is inside the house and the girl is singing. And then she says to Hamza, she says, Hamza

slaughter this camel and feed it to your guests. And she's singing this song and hams out on the line who has been drinking. And so he goes out and he slaughters the camel and he cuts off its two humps. And then he rips out its liver. And it love the Lord who comes back to his camel and he finds it dead, slaughtered humps, comes off liver and he said, I began to tear.

I began to tear from this. And so he went and he told us to build muscle. I said him about it. And then

The prophet SAW said I went and confronted him that nonetheless, I'd even never thought it. The wedding happens different Muslims had assisted, some said will support with a sheep and others said with other things and idea and everybody is able to have his wedding. And a year later he is blessed with a son.

I draw the line is blessed with a son the prophet SAW I said him his first grandson and he goes, and he

Rasulullah sallallahu s&m asks and he says, What did you name him? And I leave never thought he says, We have named him How?

And how is just like, the name that any 25 year old would love to name his son. You know why? Because then you become a will how the father of war

as is amazing, right? I will help and the Prophet sallallahu Sallam he says no, his name is Asad.

And that just it shows you truly you know, people who don't notice a little less of a light a sudden and they think he's some sort of warmonger. But look at even these types of names the province of the lightest and then did not like

how? He says no, his name is that hasn't the beautiful? You know, there are some narrations that say that the next time he had a son, the province of the licen have asked him and he said What did you name him? He said How?

He said no, he said he said the little beautiful one years later he would have another son What did you name him? How?

He said no, he's in mersin the one who does beautiful things or the one who does beauty right all of these names revolving around beauty the province of Mumbai cinemas, naming his sons. I don't even ever thought about the lion who has it hasn't. And even though he's married to faulty model, the lion had the daughter of Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam their life was far from luxurious. In fact, they had a similar lifestyle to the lifestyle of the prophets the light is and the Prophet sallallahu Sallam did not have any luxuries that were beyond anything that the most basic of the Muslims had. And I'd even never thought even forced him I had the similar lifestyle. The prophets of

the lightest synonyms lustful swastika was incredible nonetheless. Fatima on one occasion her and Id are discussing and are complaining to each other of their own difficulties. Fatima says that she has been grinding barley so much that her hands have become calloused. And even a bit Olive is carrying water so much that his back is aching. And so I need on the line who says to Fatima? Why don't you go and ask them a little less on the line and send them for a servant. and so forth. The model the line goes to ask the prophets the lightest and then for a servant and the prophets the lie to send them would never see for Ultima except that he would stand up and he would see her where he himself

saw the light as cinema sitting. Nonetheless, Fatima asked the Prophet sallallahu Sallam for a servant and that also will last on the light and send them says to her, no,

I'm not going to give you and leave a Lucifer.

Now who is a Hello sofa, hello so far are basically the Muslims who do not have homes.

They are living in the masjid. And they are completely you can call it welfare you can call it they are being supported by the state. And the Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam is saying to his daughter, the most beloved of the people to him, he says that I am not going to give you a resource that I cannot provide to the last member of our society.

And so she goes home. But then that night,

then that night, the Prophet sallallahu wasallam enters upon Fatima and it held the Allied home and he finds that they are laying down and so he tells them to stay where they are. And then also last a lot he said he stands in between them and Admiralty law and who says I felt the coolness of his feet. And then the prophets the lightness and upset Shall I not tell you what is better for you than a servant. That every night before you go to sleep that you say Subhana Allah 33 times at hamdulillah 33 times and Allahu Akbar 33 times that is better for you than a servant. Right. The other night they extracted from this and they said the crew la Jaco will weather that the

remembrance of Allah strengthens the body. We have a brother

who is the founder of a program or a movement called bar stars. And bar stars is like Do you ever watch these YouTube videos where these guys are in a park? Doing like these crazy pull ups? Right?

bar stars, huh? calisthenics? Yeah, so there's a specific group or organization or program or hobby they're called bar stars. And the brother who found that it is a Muslim brother, his name is hesson. But his nickname on the street is giant. Martial Law. The guy is a giant he looks like martial law. He's looked like he's chiseled out of stone.

And so he was telling us, we brought him over to the message one time and he took all the young people out and he took him to the park and you'll show me what you got and stuff like that. And he was telling them what my secret is, is that when I go up, I say to Panama,

every time he was going up on the pull up bar, it's upon Allah or it hamdulillah or Allahu Akbar, Allah, Allah, Allah or something like that. So um, so he's like, you know, when, when he was like, he was telling us he was like, When, when, when you go right or left, he said, I'm the one who invented that.

I'm the one who invented that. But what I benefited from that was this concept that the remembrance of Allah Subhana Allah really gives the person energy it gives the person strength. Now remember, at the beginning, we said, the layman was rude said that those have or not the most in knowledge, but they had the deepest knowledge, they interacted with knowledge, at a level that nobody else did. I believe me, Mr. Rude said that he said, a man or a woman they had the deepest knowledge, it may be thought it is telling us this story of the Prophet sallallahu Sallam telling him what to say when he goes to sleep. we fast forward 30 years earlier, the Lord who is narrating this, and he said

something incredibly powerful. He said, By Allah, I never went to sleep

ever without, since the prophets, the lie said and told me this without saying Subhana Allah are hamdulillah and Allah Akbar,

it's never happened. When they would learn a Hadith, it would be something that they implemented, and they implement it for the rest of their life. They have the deepest knowledge. There's always somebody who challenges the speaker, right? There's always somebody who's like, but what about.

And so one person said to it, he said, not even on the day, Josephine

is or not even on the day of Sofia, the day of Safina is the day, where the army of ID clash with the army of Medallia, it was said that more Muslims died on the day of Sophia. And then in the, in the all of the campaign's of the Muslims up until that point.

Can you just imagine because both sides were Muslim, right? We learned in history that the that the war that had the most American casualties was the Civil War. Both sides are American. And so how do you draw the line who was walking amongst the dead on the deaths of feet? And he was calling how dead? Hasn't I wish that I had died before this by 20 years? The amount of questioning in front of a lesser panel to add so many dead Muslims. And yeah, I'd have never thought I've said to that questioner, not even on the day of the feed, he said not even on the day of Sophie, even on the Josephine that night, when you went to sleep, he says to Pamela 33 times in the last 33 times in a

log but 33 times earlier on the alarm.

we fast forward to a few years later.

And I little the Lord who is sitting at the tense of 100.

And 100 was a gathering of an army that had never been gathered before in the Arabian Peninsula. Never before had 10,000 soldiers been gathered or seen. We're looking at looking at budget, it's 1000 machines. But it's 3000 machine again, you're not not used to seeing these types of numbers up until this point. And so when 10,000 Confederates had been gathered, Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam and the Muslims devise a strategy, a tactic that had not been known to them before in the Arabian Peninsula. In fact, it was imported from Persia, by said manufacture of the law, I know they dug a trench surrounding a part of the city or the exposed parts of the city.

And the idea, of course of the trenches that the machine again can't come across it, they can't come across it.

But that didn't mean that individuals couldn't come across it if they were skilled enough.

And one of those who came across the trench from the machine again, was the famous warrior. Even would I'm Robin wood, this guy's a legendary fighter.

And so when he crossed over, what's he looking for? He's looking for a duel.

And so help me move out is

Is there anybody here to do? Who wants to do

and Rasulullah saw send them and also harbor hearing?

And I even every thought is like I would like to? And the prophets Allah license says, at least in the home, sit down, it's

nobody's wrong.

And I'm restarting from the outside. Where is this agenda that you're talking about?

I'd have never thought I'd be out of sort of luck.

At least in the home.

And I'm restarting an idea of de la, la, me and the province on the license SM Sit down. It's an idea of the lotto says we're in Canada, even if it's amateur.

And so I'd even Have you thought about the law and who comes out

and the

Ahmed is asking, Who are you he looks very young.

And it tells him who he is. And he says to him,

oh my son,

I have no desire to spill your blood.

And I little Delano says to him, but I very much would like to spill yours.

And so this upset him, of course hit his ego. And so he

fights with it have never thought about the law. And it defeats armor, even with the legendary fighter is defeated by it I've never thought. And so when the Muslims hear the tech bit of it, they realized that he had been killed very shortly after

his high bar.

And haber is a moment of incredible virtue variety of Navy thought. When you study the virtues of it, one of the greatest moments is not necessarily because of the battle that happened. But because of the statement that the Prophet symbolize in the made about and even abitata. favor was a fortress that's outside of Medina, and they had betrayed or sort of lost a little light as alum by joining the Confederates against the prophets on the lightest in them and the believers. And so now the believers had won that battle or the Confederates had fled, and now Faber has exposed their treachery is exposed and the Prophet sallallahu Sallam is heading towards people with the Sahaba of

the law and the prophets of Allah to send the mix the state but then he says, tomorrow I will give the RIAA tomorrow I will give the banner to a man and here here's where the great virtue lies. He says, tomorrow I will give the banner to a man who loves a lot and His Messenger and to Allah and His Messenger love him.

It's such what's in this statement here in this statement is the testimony of the Prophet sallallahu Sallam that that his love for Allah and His messenger is sincere. No one can ever doubt that about even me thought. But not only that, I'd even ever thought about the law and who it is being declared that Allah and His Messenger love it. And so no one who loves the line as a messenger can have hatred for it. I've never thought it was the last and the lightest, and then tells us that a lot as though it says man I really want to be

law says whoever shows enmity to a friend of mine, or someone who is under my protection, then I have given them a declaration of war.

And so here I'd even ever thought about the law and has been told by Rasulullah sallallahu sallam, or we are being told by Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam that align His Messenger love it. I've never thought it I will say that. He made a very interesting comment. He said, we used to know them.

By their hatred of him.

He became this criteria through which they knew who the people of nofap were, and who the people of Eman were. And so I'd even ever thought about the law and who I know it was sick actually, almost have no cutoff said, I never ever desired for to be in a position of leadership, except for that moment. Because if you're if you're the leader of that particular campaign, then you get that declaration of love. And that testimony of love. The province of the lightest, and them is looking around in the morning after the failure of prayer and he's looking around and he's looking around and then he says Where is it?

And this is why he didn't come out. He's in his tent. He had been he had an ailment with his eyes could barely see anything. And so the private cellulitis in him has him summoned. And then the private cellulitis ended up spills into the eyes of it with his saliva. And I even epithelium never had an issue with his eyes again, the province of colitis and them gives it have never taught him the banner and it never goes forward, leading the Muslims to haven now.

Here comes the dual favors champion comes out, and his name is Mark.

And mahabis favors king and his neighbor's champion.

And now he's asking for mobilizer. He's asking for a challenger who's going to fight me.

And so one of the companions came comes out on the lawn when he comes out
