is that we see several etiquettes being cited here. In terms of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. His guidance with the Quran and the Sunnah of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is actually very rich with different etiquettes pertaining to the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Rich in terms of

general evidences when I when I refer to general evidences, I mean, those evidences that carry citations which are not

exclusive to only the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala, but anything which is considered an act of worship, and then also we have evidences that are very inclusive and they apply directly to the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And thus we see the Sharia

taking special care in terms of us and our relationship with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala from both a macro and micro

perspective. So what we will do inshallah, over the course of today, and the upcoming episodes will try and

do a quick run through some of the etiquettes that we find in the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. related to to authority, some of the etiquettes found in the Sharia, related to the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala and and this is a very important pitstop for us given how relevant the Quran is in our lives how we should have a daily relationship with the Quran, irrespective of

your situation, whether you're a scholar whether you are a non scholar, irrespective of the circumstances everybody should have a relationship with the Quran. Different relationship with the Quran recitation based relationship based or different relationships with the Quran a relationship based on recitation, a relationship based on memorization, a relationship based on listening and listening to the recitation of the Quran

as we will also see that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam loved to hear the Quran loved other people to actually recite the Quran.

We should also have a relationship with the Quran based on healing meaning we we we help or assist ourselves in becoming better and we assist ourselves becoming cured by using the Quran by using the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And then also another relationship

in the form of

pondering over the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. So these are all different relationships that a Muslim must have with the Quran, irrespective of the circumstance, yes, the extent of the relationship depends on your level of knowledge

of the sources of the Sharia. However,

all these elements must exist in everybody's life with regard to the product. So again, I say yes, the extent of all these elements that I've shared, will differ from person to person, depending on the knowledge of the sources of the shediac. So those people who are specialized in film, for example, they have a deeper extent

with the key matters related to the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala for example, right.

But nonetheless, we know that there are certain types of knowledge that every Muslim should have, right, which means that to a certain extent, every Muslim will have

or should have a relationship with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala especially since the Quran is the foundation

of all the sciences of the Sharia, right every science you can think of bead Hadith bit of seed be it Tajweed Be it thick, be it aqidah and belief.

You know, all these sciences the basis is the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala and other evidences which the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala cited as, as evidence such as the son of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, such as Iijima, for example or the consensus of the oma right

So the point my dear brothers and sisters is we as human beings need to, you know, better our relationship with the Quran and from the methods of bettering our way with the Quran is increasing the quality of our manners, morals and etiquettes with the book of

Allah subhanho wa Taala and thus, we will take a short, pitstop here, and over the course of this lesson and perhaps the upcoming lessons we will discuss certain etiquettes pertaining to the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala especially given how deeply the Sharia has mentioned, these etiquettes Now, these etiquettes in general, can be found in the Quran can be found in the son of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam. In fact, the most authentic books of Hadith Sahih al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are full of narrations pertaining to etiquettes with the book of Allah subhanho wa, ala and then scholars from our pious predecessors and those that came after them have written dedicated

books pertaining to the Quran, the blessings of the Quran, etiquettes of the Quran,

you know, and books dedicated to everything related to the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. So, we see

you know, and importance given by our pious predecessors in terms of gathering knowledge pertaining to the etiquettes of the Quran, so that you and I today

can benefit we almost tarnish our His mercy upon our scholars and meet and gather us with them engender me so Allah Subhana Allah Allah He says in his book in nationalism that Nicaragua in the law hula Have you done that verily we are It is we who have sent down the Quran and surely we will guard it, guarded against corruption, guarded against change, and that's firstly My dear brothers and sisters, it's important that we understand that the Quran is the most authentic, the most protected

to have existed, okay, and it will be the most protected book to ever exist and that's it needs to be the closest book in our lives because the knowledge in it is indeed knowledge without an iota of doubt. And Allah subhanho wa Taala with regards to his book in the Quran, he says alpha to the Barolo Quran Allah canon m de la lucha de la Finca Hera, sent to the Lord consider the Quran carefully, and had it been from other than Allah subhanho wa Taala, then they would have surely found they're in much contradiction. So Allah subhanahu Allah here is telling us that look, and again, this highlights the relationship of the double that I mentioned earlier this relationship

that we should have the Quran relationship built upon pondering over the Quran, Allah says do they not ponder over the Quran? You know, these people who deny the Quran, these people who lack of having a relationship with the Quran, these people who lack motivation with the Quran, Allah saying, Do not ponder over the Quran, if you just bonded over it. And this is one of the relationships we must have. In fact, if no pain rahimullah the same author of the book that we studied, off the original book that the summary is based on, he himself says that one of the ways to abandon the Quran is to avoid having to double practicing to double to avoid pondering over the meanings of the

ayat in the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Right. And this is a deeper process than just stopping at the meaning that that word entails you diving into the secrets that exist within the meanings of the ayah that Allah subhanho wa Taala revealed and that's why that is why it was entirely appropriate that

you know, that which Allah subhanho wa Taala revealed in the Quran was called an area and a and that is why the translation, you know, that we find,

you know, from Arabic to English, what we call it an iron verse, Then we see this is a this is not an entirely true translation, right, even though it is permissible to use the term verse because of a lack of better,

you know, translation in the English language, but we must realize that our idea is far deeper than a verse is far more substantial than just a verse and it's a sign. It's a sign and indeed it is

Why because as we see here, there's so many meanings behind the meanings. There's so many lessons we can take out from the Quran related to every aspect of our life. And the beauty of the Quran is it's a panel that talks to us, irrespective of our

circumstances and situations, it speaks to us, you know, you could take one eye and you could recite this ayah you know, during times of ease and it gives you a certain feeling. And then if you decide the ayah during times of difficulty, it offers you a different guidance. You know, I've even tried it if you some, if I've read on the ground, I've understood it in a certain way and when I read it in an aircraft in the in the air Subhanallah you get a different understanding is this is just how amazing the Quran is. But you have to ponder, so Allah subhanho wa Taala is c'est la vie the Baroque or do they not pond over the Quran, they lack motivation with the Quran, they deny the Quran, they

you know, lack making the Quran a companion during the entire day, do they respond over the Quran has the only pundit they would have found out that there is zero contradiction in the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And I dare you to find me an author that has authored a book that has zero contradiction, the work of Man will have contradiction, contradiction in thought, contradiction in terms of thoughts placed in the same book. We're not even talking about thoughts cited in different books are different posts are different blogs, sometimes in the same blog in the same book in the same post, you will find contradiction, it's impossible that you'll find the person be 100% correct

100% of the time except the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam because he was given that ability by Allah subhanho wa Taala with regards to matters of religion, right? So Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions this

particular

in the Quran and indeed it gives us great guidance. Allah subhanho wa Taala also says what a telco editor Tila, Allah says and recite the Quran in a clear, pleasant tone and style. So Pamela, so again, here we see

exclusive

etiquettes and as I said earlier, that our sources are full of direct

evidences that teach us about the etiquettes of the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala, as well as indirect so for example, being sincere when you decide the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. This etiquette is not specific to just the Quran, but it's cross it's across the spectrum of everything that is considered worship. So the point is the Sharia has been detailed with regards to these matters.

Also, when we look in this area, we see our our sources full of citations that teach us the blessings of having this relationship with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. So, you know, our Sharia teaches us well,

the terminology what, and then it teaches us Well, again, you know, what the terminology, or liberati the terminology but our Sharia teaches us Well, the answer to the three questions what why and how, right. Earlier we saw is dedicated and exclusive detailing what we also have evidences that tell us why somebody Okay, why do I need to have this relationship with the coroner? I've been told I need to have it. Why do I need to have it? Well, we saw evidences earlier, because it's the most protected book is the most authentic book, because it has no contradiction. It can only be a means of guidance, but also, because the you know, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that the

best of you is he who loves the Quran and teaches it. And this is in Sahil Bukhari. So the best of you, and this is an inspiration of Hadith, especially for everyone who wants to be the best of the best. If you want to be the best of the best, then

you know, you want to have a good relationship with the Quran because the Hadith says the best of you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it and indeed, our pious predecessors would say that Allah subhanho wa Taala raises nations and debases nations based on their closeness or distance from the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And we can, through analogy applies this understanding to individuals as well that Allah subhanho wa Taala

raises individuals and debases them based on their relationship with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. He also said sallallahu alayhi wa sallam alemayehu to build karate master

positioning in terms of this life and close in terms of placement

in the Hereafter, right, because we will be raised on the day of pm as communities, communities based on

our

you know, or based on the reality of the life that we lived when we were alive, right. So a person who strives to be from the community of the Quran, that this person will be raised with the family of Al Quran. So this hadith says that a person who is really good with the Quran, this person will be raised with the messengers, and the angels and those that are close to Allah, as well as those that are obedient to Allah subhanho wa Taala. So this is a very, very

encouraging Heidi, right, because it's encouraging us to develop our relationship with the parent to better ourselves to take the necessary classes, to better our recitation, to read with Tajweed to better our understanding to better how we put the Quran into practice and so on and so forth. Because this is what excellence entails. So, this is encouraging us that Who do you want to be with? Right, the package of excellence entails you to be excellent with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And it's like, when you want to go for Hajj, you have a five star package and we know how commercialized the health sector is now. So, you have a five star package four star package, three

star package and every package, it has its criteria and criteria, right. And you get the package that

you endeavor for if you endeavor for the five star package, then it entails more work in terms of paying much more, right? And even you know on in terms of aircrafts, whether you fly economy or business or first class, even the hotel that you take, and so on and so forth. I think you get the picture, my dear brothers and sisters. So the question is, you know, which group of people do you want to be with in the hereafter the five star group, the four star group, that's the three star group. If you want the five star group, then it entails application you have to bring it right you have to bring it and here the Hadith is telling us that those who are excellent with the current

they will get the five star package they will be with the people of accidents, the angels, the messengers, they'll be getting people, those that are close to Allah subhanho wa Taala right. So the Quran is our key. The Quran is our key. However, however, for those who find it difficult to read the Quran, then this hadith is absolutely amazing for them as well, especially in terms of encouraging them and giving them inspiration. Because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Well, let me

see that the person who recites the Quran, experiencing difficulty because it's hard for you to pronounce certain letters or because you're still learning and you're putting in the necessary effort and you're trying really hard. You're trying to get your Tajweed, right, you're trying to learn the rules, you're trying to pronounce it clearly you're trying to beautify it, when you read it, you're trying to understand it and practice that before you try and, you know, use it as a cure when you're ill, and so on and so forth. Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says that for this person, he has two rewards to reward so panela right? To rewards because you stuttering because you

still trying. And by the way, this also applies to this tab, where the data is reversed to a person who has impaired speech meaning a person who

you know, status when they speak. So naturally when they read they have this data but this doesn't put them off trying. Right? This doesn't put them off trying. So they put in the necessary effort. So because they put in that extra effort, Allah subhanho wa Taala gives them extra rewards. And as a principle in algebra,

that reward is proportionate to effort. reward is proportional to effort. I see questions regarding the page number

And in terms of the Hadith number I see another question related to the Hadith number obviously, I can't provide this all the time brothers and sisters, but for this particular Hadith, this hadith in Sahih, Al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim is hailed Buhari in the publication I'm using.

It had his number 4937 so he'll Buhari 4937. And in Sahih Muslim in the copy that I'm using, it's a hadith number 798. So,

this, these are some of the reasons with regards to why so what and why, now we want to go into the how so how do we, you know, how do we become better with the Quran in terms of our relationship with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala in terms of,

you know, giving the Quran is, do you and so on and so forth. How do we do that? Well, we do that by learning about the etiquettes with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And there are many etiquettes and this is what I hope to go through

during the course of this particular lesson. And the next lesson is related. The first etiquette My dear brothers and sisters that we need with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala and we becoming more specific Now obviously, everything else I shed is included in terms of the advice

of this particular lesson.

So we're just getting more particular now, but don't disregard everything I've shared previously. So the first step ticket we need with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala is to be sincere, we need to be sincere.

When reading the book, this is the first add up. The first matter that needs to exist, was Allah subhanho wa Taala. His book the book of Allah has the words of Allah. And a Muslim is supposed to worship no other than Allah. And recitation of the words of Allah entails

that which is considered worship in and of itself, which means if it's done for any other reason other than a light ship.

or he goes to work so he can earn a salary This is not considered ship. Yes, this is definitely disliked. And this shows a weakness in terms of a person's Eman and Islam. Because as we've discussed in previous episodes, our purpose should always be a law that we make everything we do worship. And the result of our purpose is the result of the means that helps us achieve our purpose, whether it's gyming, for those who want to be fit, whether it's studying for those who have, you know, for those who want to pass exams, whether it's getting a salary for those who go to work, that is the result of what you do, getting fit is a result of going to the gym,

or a result, let me Let's be absolute, some people go to the gym, but they don't get fit, a lot of staff will not protect, right.

Because there's other factors that need to be taken into consideration.

But the purpose should be Allah. This is for a Muslim, of course, and we've discussed this in previous episodes. So I want to create a deep discussion here about it. But

the point I'm trying to say is there's acts which are not acts of worship in and of itself, like matters pertaining to the dunya However, they are acts that are worship in and of itself, such as the recitation of the Quran, you can't recite, so you can you know, say like, I want to recite the Quran so I you know, because I know that if I become a party then people will give me money and I need to get money so reading the Quran, this is this is a dangerous intention, my dear brothers and sisters

Because if that's your intention, you will only be rewarded in the dunya that's your reward, meaning you've made your purpose money, someone gives you money and these are from Allah subhanho wa Taala You know, that's something else. But if you say no, I'm doing it so I can get invited to these massages that allow me to read and they pay me so much money a day. This is dangerous. Somebody says no, I'm reading. So I really am reading the Quran.

So, you know, I can I can get a degree, this is dangerous. It's this is a matter you got to read it for the sake of Allah. Right? You can do yourself a disservice and the Quran won't help you. If you the Quran will, will develop you based on the strength of your sincerity. With the book of Allah, you must understand this success is proportionate to the strength of sincerity. There's another principle you can write it down. Write it down. in everything you do in life, success is proportionate to the strength of your

sincerity.

Even if, depending on how sincere you are when you do it, Allah will allow the Quran to settle in your heart accordingly.

Right, there's nothing more powerful in life than making your action for the sake of Allah.

And Allah He gives us with no boundaries and no borders. If you make it for a lot, Allah will give you in ways you've never imagined

right?

Because remember, remember brothers and sisters, if you can go to the path of alive you can learn Islam, if you can read the Quran, if you can give sadaqa these are blessings from Allah. A lot of the times you don't see these as blessings from Allah. Well, like these are blessing from Allah. What is the blessing in the fact that Allah made you wanted to accept

from you this rebel, so he inspired you to do it?

Right. Sometimes we don't see it. You go into sujood you need to thank Allah that Oh Allah

Right? What a strong man. What a brave man, what a skilled man. This is why you did it. And the people did say that. Which means you have no rewards was a lot today. The rewards you wanted when you did that were given to you. Right? People did come up and say Mashallah, Mashallah, Mashallah.

And then Allah subhanho wa Taala will command that this person be thrown into the Hellfire and the Hadith says he will be dragged on his face until he will be thrown in the hellfire. Right. Then the head it goes on to say and this is the point of discussion specific to our chapter. That another among the first to be judges

The man who lent the Quran and he taught the Quran and he recited the Quran, he will be brought forward

and the blessings that Allah gave him will be mentioned to him and he will acknowledge these blessings. And then Allah will say, what did you do for the for the meaning for these blessings that I gave you? What are you thankful for you dutiful, were you humble? The man will say, Allah I learned the Quran and I taught it, I learned the knowledge of the of the Sharia and I taught it. Then I recited the Quran, Allah and I decided it for you. And Allah subhanho wa Taala will say, you have light, you have light, long stand kept you have light.

Instead you learn knowledge so that people would say you're a scholar and you recited the Quran so that people would say you're an amazing recite and you are happy. And by the way, both statements have been said. And then meaning you receive the rewards what you endeavored what you intended, Allah gave you, right? You wanted the people's happiness, the people were happy.

Right over you, you're interested in a lot of happiness. So then Allah subhanho wa Taala will command that he'd be dragged on his face until he's thrown in the hellfire. A lot of stuff we all must have had who Allah protect us. So my dear brothers and sisters, I think enough has been said, Enough has been said right.

With regards to this matter, and that

the first etiquette with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala is to be sincere. This is the first etiquette This is the first etiquette and

The second etiquette of the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala is to apply the teachings of the Quran

is to apply the teachings of the Quran is to put into practice that which you

learn from the Quran and to understand that everything you learn from the Quran will be evidence for you or evidence against you on the day of tab.

Right. So, now you know because the Quran teaches, and the Quran is the is the best teacher is the book of Allah Subhana who apparently the best book that can teach us, right. And again, it's a he'll Buhari.

So the third etiquette with the Quran is to be consistent with the Quran consistent in your memorization. consistent in your recitation consistent in your learning. If you're doing one hour a week in a lessons with the Quran, make sure you do it every week. If it's one hour a month, make sure you do it every month. not burning ourselves out, but rather burning ourselves in, right. So don't be overly Don't be, you know, too overconfident. But be confident. But don't be overconfident in that you say, right, I'm gonna read one juice a day, it's not sustainable.

And you burn out. And then you find that you might, you know, try and do a juice. You manage for two three days, then you manage a three quarter juice over the next week and half juice over the following weeks and a quarter over the following weekend. Within two and a half months, you find yourself you've stopped reading Quran and now a month, two months three months have gone and you haven't read Quran now you you're looking for that lecture that you heard that motivated you to get back on track and then you got you started again, sustainable, my dear brothers and sisters, do not burn yourself out. real with yourself. Understand your schedule, understand your inabilities and abilities and build yourself up. Right? You got to be true with yourself that I am unable. I'm not very disciplined with my time, start building yourself a better yourself with your time I'm not very disciplined with myself. Start building yourself up become disciplined with yourself. And as you grow these abilities then you can increase

your acts of worship so you can read maybe more currency from one page to two pages a day for example. Right so burn yourself in and do not burn yourself out. So this is the third etiquette of the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala that we

are consistent with the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala etiquette number four entails something which I introduced to you earlier and that is this concept of contemplating over the Quran. Right and pondering over the Quran.
