Ramadan 2006 – Durban – Day 30

On a dilemma dearest brothers and sisters in Islam, we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to accept the recitation of the Quran in the month of Ramadan and to accept the listening of the Quran and to accept the little explanation that we have been

engaged in on a daily basis. May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant us acceptance and May He grant us a change in our lives. For indeed the method or the manner in which to know whether something was accepted or not, is to see if it has changed our lives. If it has changed our lives in sha Allah, it was accepted by Allah subhanho wa Taala. But if it has not changed us in any way, it has not touched us in any way. Then we have wasted the month of Ramadan May Allah subhanho wa Taala not do that to us.

In tonight's recitation, we read the 30th and the last portion of the Quran, in which there are 37 sutras from amongst the 37. There are only two sutras which were revealed in Medina to the munawwara. The rest were revealed in Makkah, Tomoko Rama, if you noticed, they were all short verses, mostly very short verses, as we had explained yesterday, regarding the verses that were revealed in Makkah to the mocha Rama, but soon it will be enough. those who compete with one another when it comes to amassing worldly items. Allah says the competition between yourselves of amassing has diverted you from the fact that you are going to die.

They think that that wealth is going to result in them living on earth forever and ever. They are not going to die analysis can never know ways that cannot happen. Every single person has to die and taste death. May Allah subhanho wa Taala make it easy. The day he takes us away. Then Allah subhanho wa Taala has spoken off the incident in the year that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was born where it is known as the year of the elephants, and how miraculously Allah saved and protected the Kaaba. And I want to reassure all the Muslims of the

globe, that that Kaaba is the house of Allah subhanho wa Taala Don't worry, don't get excited. Don't panic. The protector is Allah subhanho wa Taala he has proven it in the past, and there is nothing stopping him from doing it again. It is Allah subhanho wa Taala who will protect the holy lands, and it is Allah subhanho wa Taala who will grant victory to the Muslim men, if ever they happen to be attacked? May Allah subhanho wa Taala safeguard us and Allah subhanho wa Taala speaks of our relationship with the kuffar and the fact that we need to understand that for as long as they do not fight us, we should not fight them. And we should leave them upon their belief. And we should be

upon our belief. If we'd like to engage in that way and in calling and positive propagation, we should do so that is required that is a duty, but never stop fighting those who have never fought you just because they have a different religion. Allah says very clearly in spirit will cause your own

May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant us steadfastness on this Deen The only way we are going to be steadfast on Islam is by learning this religion. Many of us are guilty of not even knowing the message of the Quran. That is the book that is going to take us to gentlemen inshallah, many of us are guilty of not knowing the message of the Quran, how many of us can we resolve today that inshallah we will make an effort to learn the Arabic language

inshallah, we will make an effort to understand what is the message of the Quran, we will try and read on a daily basis as much as we can. And we will develop a link with Allah who can teach that to us. May Allah subhanho wa Taala make it easy for us a quick point

in our lives, we spent so many years, the vast majority of us in universities for many hours in the day we study huge books, we're with 1000s of pages, that is only going to help us up to the age of 65. Probably, then the certificate expires, we know what is retirement. May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant us understanding? Yes, it may be of benefit even post that if Allah subhanho wa Taala has accepted someone but if we have only worried about our lives on this globe, what about the real life? How much time and how many books have we learned and how much time have we sacrificed? That certificate will help us from the age of 25 if we are lucky, right to the age of 70. If we are

extremely lucky thereafter, there is another certificate we need. What have we done for that it's not too late. May Allah subhanho wa Taala make it easy for us to learn the Quran to learn the message of the Sunnah to adopt the ways of the Dhamma and to develop links with

them and not to hate them because they are Allah of this Deen. Remember they may have weaknesses, but a weakness or two does not mean that we need to spread tales about them and we need to divorce ourselves from them and we should not benefit from them in any way. If they were flawless, they would have been MBR there is one Hadith where I could see where Allah subhanho wa Taala says that on the day of Yama, he will call up the Lama and he will tell them I have not put my knowledge in you except because I love you except for the reason that I love you. Before I end, I had promised yesterday that I will go into some of the verses of
