So inshallah I wanted to go ahead and get started with the webcast for today. The topic that we have is a tour of Paradise and a tour of Hellfire kind of trying to gain a in depth, detailed description of Paradise in the fire of hell, as provided to us by Allah in the Quran, and the Prophet of Allah salallahu alayhi wa sallam through authentic hadith and authentic narrations. I didn't want to spend too much time you know, the topic of Paradise in Hell is not just a motivational topic. It's not just a topic of Tafseer in Hades. It's actually a subject within Aki that studies as well, theology and creed. But so I wanted to focus a conversation. I didn't want to talk so much about the
technicalities of believing in Paradise and believing in hell do we believe in it? Why do we believe in it? You know, to what extent do we believe in it and where is it and where is it not and all these details I didn't want to touch on all of this, because the normative position, the authoritative, authentic position, and most Muslims are familiar with this and comfortable with this, that there is a place called paradise. There is a place called hellfire. It was prepared by Allah subhanaw taala. And these will be the two final abodes of people in the life of the hereafter. And we understand that. But what I wanted to talk about today is what do those places look like?
What are they like? What is the reality of those places? And there's something very interesting, very profound. The scholars say that everything that happens in the life of the Hereafter, paradise and hell, everything that we experience
In this life in this world is a preview of that. So what that means is at some level, we are able to grasp a very basic general idea of what paradise and hell are like, and align His messengers, a lot of them have told us about those particular details, those things that we are able to understand and relate to at some level. And so what helps to make it a reality and what motivates a person to change their behavior to and it affects the way that they live their lives is grasping and understanding what those places are like and what the reality of these two places is. So we as human beings, we grasp, we understand our existence in this life.
Because we're living it, there's no doubt about it. I know for a fact, I am sitting here I am living, I am breathing, I'm here now. And we also grasp the fact that one of the greatest truths of life is that I will die. And I will leave this world one day.
But another profound truth and reality is that after I die, and leave this world, and breathed my last, I will be brought back to life, and I will be resurrected. And there will be the day of judgment on which I will stand before God I will stand before Allah, and I will answer for the way I have lived my life.
And my actions and the mercy of God will determine where I finally end up. And from there, people will either go to Paradise, or people will go to hell. So something very interesting, that kind of changes.
The mindset, the frame with which people understand the importance of our existence in this life, and our choices that we make in this world, is to understand that I was not just created to live here for 10 2030 4050 6070 years, nobody knows how long you're going to live. stand and rise on the Day of Judgment, and their deeds are weighed, and they stand before God for questioning,
then they finally end up in one of the two abodes. It's either paradise Jenna,
or it's either the fire of hell, hellfire.
What are those places like so that my decision is impacted? So that it impacts impacts what I do here today, and how I conduct myself here today. What do they look like? So we have two topics to talk about. We're going to talk about paradise, and we're going to talk about hell. Now, this was a personal thing for me.
